More humpback whale 'blows' off the Kerry coast
Over the last few days there have been renewed sightings of humpback whale 'blows' off the Kerry coast. There appear to be around four animals out there, according to Nick Massett of the IWDG (Irish Whale and Dolphin Group). They are about 10-12 miles off the mainland in Dingle Bay. The weather is a bit mixed at the moment but we are hoping for a good day next Tuesday and will try to make a big concerted effort to locate them and reach them on our afternoon eco marine tour. Three seperate animals have already been identified off the Blasket Islands in the last few weeks and it would be very exciting to find out if the most recently observed humpback whales are the same ones we saw before or new ones to the area. Fingers crossed for a calm, fine day on Tuesday!
